About the programme

Work for Punjab – Chief Minister IT Internship Program (CMITIP) is a Government of Punjab initiative, launched in collaboration with PITB, P@SHA and PSEB. It places graduates with Punjab domicile in registered IT companies across the province for a 4-month paid internship. Registrations are open on the official portal.

What you get

Monthly stipend of PKR 50,000, funded by the Government of Punjab
4 months of hands-on industry experience at a host IT company
Internship certificate on completion

How it works

Register on the official portal; interns are matched to host companies based on the company's requirements and your qualifications, skills and preferences
Host IT companies conduct interviews before final selection
The stipend is conditional on at least 70% attendance, supervisor evaluation and monthly reports
A mandatory international certification must be completed before the final stipend and certificate are released
Host companies include PSEB-registered IT firms with a physical office in Punjab; InstaCare (health-tech, Lahore) has announced that it is taking interns through this programme

Eligibility

At least 16 years of education in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, AI, Data Science or a closely related discipline (other disciplines as per host company demand)
Graduated within the last 4 years; final-year students are not eligible
Must be unemployed
Valid CNIC with permanent address in Punjab, and Punjab domicile
Not eligible if you have already done any federal or provincial government internship
